Ash’s Better Bombs expands Hytale’s explosive gameplay by introducing craftable bombs that interact with the world.

Unlike vanilla bombs, explosions now deal block damage, turning bombs into meaningful tools for combat, mining, and tactical destruction, without breaking balance or immersion.

Designed with a vanilla-first mindset, Better Bombs blends seamlessly into survival and multiplayer gameplay.

Features

Craftable Bombs – Adds new bomb items that can be crafted and used in normal gameplay.

Block-Damaging Explosions – Bomb explosions now damage blocks instead of being purely visual.

Ash’s Better Bombs now introduces multiple specialized bomb types, each designed for different combat and utility scenarios.

Basic Bomb A simple but effective explosive device that deals area damage to both entities and blocks.

The goblins’ crude but effective design has found favor among adventurers seeking a quick solution to their problems.

Fire Bomb

An alchemical bomb infused with fire essence. Applies Burn, dealing fire damage over time to affected targets.

Handle with care — the flames within burn hotter than any natural fire.

Large Fire Bomb

A devastating explosive weapon capable of dealing massive damage in a large radius. Applies Burn to all targets caught in the explosion.

Forged for moments when subtlety is no longer an option. A single well-placed throw can turn the tide of battle.

Poison Bomb

A toxic concoction that releases deadly fumes on impact. Applies Poison, dealing damage over time.

The alchemists’ art of combining explosive power with deadly toxins — dangerous, but highly effective.

Stun Bomb

A concussive device designed for crowd control. Severely slows movement and prevents affected targets from using combat abilities.

Sometimes the best way to win a fight is to make sure your enemy cannot fight back.

Installation

Download Ash's Better Bombs

Place the .zip file into your Hytale mods directory

Launch the game and open Worlds

Click the cog icon and enable the mod

Craft bombs and start experimenting 💣
