How to Use This Generator

Understanding Each Setting

Server Name & MOTD: Your server name appears in the server list, while the Message of the Day (MOTD) displays when players view server details. Use descriptive names to help players find your server.

Server Port: The default Hytale port is 25000. Only change this if you're running multiple servers or your hosting provider requires a different port. Players will need the port number to connect if it's non-default.

Max Players: This limits concurrent connections. Set this based on your server's RAM and CPU capacity. Each player requires approximately 50-100MB of RAM depending on activity.

Game Mode: Adventure mode offers the full Hytale experience with progression and combat. Creative mode gives unlimited resources and building freedom. Survival focuses on resource gathering and challenges.

View Distance: Measured in chunks (16x16 blocks each), this determines how far players can see. Higher values increase immersion but require more RAM and CPU. Start with 10 and adjust based on performance.

Performance Optimization Tips

Lower View Distance First: If experiencing lag, reducing view distance has the biggest impact on performance. Each chunk reduction significantly decreases memory and CPU usage.

Enable Whitelist for Security: Using a whitelist prevents unauthorized access and reduces the load from potential bad actors or bots trying to join your server.

Monitor Player Count: If your server struggles during peak times, consider lowering the max player count rather than the view distance to maintain visual quality.

Use Online Mode: Keep online mode enabled for authentication with Hytale servers. This prevents unauthorized players and potential security issues with impersonation.

Pre-generate World Areas: For events or high-traffic areas, pre-generating chunks reduces server load when many players explore simultaneously.
