Minecraft Plains Village

This prefab is a faithful recreation of a Minecraft village found in the Plains biome, brought over and rebuilt for use as a complete, ready-to-go Minecraft village. The layout, structure placement, and overall atmosphere are designed to closely match the original village from Minecraft.

During the porting process, some blocks did not import correctly and several buildings required partial or complete reconstruction. Each structure was adjusted where needed and rebuilt where necessary to preserve the original look and proportions as closely as I possibly could. The result is a recreation that stays true to the source material while functioning properly in its new environment, Hytale.

Beds were also replaced, however, Hytale’s beds are significantly larger than those in Minecraft. Because of this, some of the smaller houses now have less interior space and may feel more cramped. You may want to adjust or replace the beds to better suit your personal preference and improve interior movement.

This is about as faithful as it gets, making it ideal for exploration worlds, nostalgia projects, or as a foundation for future Minecraft projects.

For this specific prefab, you are also welcome to use it in a world generation mod so the village can spawn naturally in a Minecraft-inspired world generation setup. I am unsure on how to do this myself but I am aware that it is easy to learn with world gen v2 so I may even give this a go myself. I'd love to see a mod that adds naturally generating Minecraft prefabs so you can still play Hytale as intended with a some nostalgic throwbacks mixed in!

Please note that you are not required to credit me for this prefab if used as part of another project, as it is not an original custom build but rather a port of an existing Minecraft structure. The work involved using community tools, fixing block rotations, and reconstructing buildings that were broken during the import process. While credit is not mandatory, it would be appreciated due to the time spent importing and rebuilding parts of the village because I won't lie some of it was incredibly frustrating due to the import being totally broken in places.

Instructions:

Copy the file to this file location: C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\Hytale\UserData\Saves\[SAVE FILE NAME]\prefabs - this will be different depending on where the game is installed to. For example, I have my game installed to my F: drive which would make my file path F:\Hytale\UserData\Saves\[SAVE FILE NAME]\prefabs

If you do not have have a file named "prefabs" then you will need to create a new prefabs file in your save file. A prefabs file will only generate in your save file if you have already made a prefab in that world. If you have never made a prefab before then you will not see this file hence the need to create it manually.

Afterwards, place the Minecraft Plains Village.prefab.json file into the prefabs file.

Once you load into the world enter creative mode and select the 'paste' tool. With the paste tool in your hand, press 'E' and click the drop down box which by default is set to "assets" and select "server" then select the relevant prefab. You will see a ghost/outline of the prefab to know where it will be placed and then tap right click to paste it into the world and enjoy.
