Hytale BetterGuns Mod

BetterGuns is a comprehensive mod for Hytale that delivers a full rework and balance pass on every weapon in the game, with the goal of integrating them cleanly into the vanilla gameplay experience without breaking progression or overall balance.

This mod goes beyond simple stat tweaks. It redefines how weapons feel, scale, and are used, creating a more consistent, fair, and engaging combat system.

⚔️ Weapon Rework & Balance

BetterGuns individually rebalances every existing weapon, adjusting:

Base damage

Cooldown / attack speed

Combat role (fast, heavy, control, etc.)

No weapon is strictly superior in all situations, encouraging strategic choice and diverse playstyles.

🛠️ Custom Crafting Recipes

All weapons feature custom crafting recipes designed to:

Fit naturally into Hytale’s vanilla progression

Require materials appropriate to the weapon’s actual power

Prevent unfair power spikes

Crafting reinforces progression and makes upgrades feel earned.

They can be crafted at the Workbench table.

📊 Weapon Stats Overview (Damage, Cooldown & Ammo)

BetterGuns provides clear and transparent weapon statistics, allowing players and server administrators to fully understand how each weapon performs in combat.

Each weapon is defined by three core parameters:

Damage: Base damage dealt per hit or shot

Cooldown: Time between attacks, defining weapon pacing and role

Ammunition: Ammo type required to operate the weapon

Below is an overview of the five weapon categories currently included:

Rusty Blunderbuss

Damage: 30

Reload Time: 3

Ammunition: 20 Mana (Own ammunition in future update)

Blunderbuss

Gun

Damage: 10

Cooldown: 0.5

Ammunition: It does not require ammunition

Assault Rifle

Damage: 10

Cooldown: 0.15

Ammunition: Medium Ammo

Weapon stats may be refined during development to ensure long-term balance and compatibility with future Hytale updates.
