EliteMobs makes combat more dangerous, rewarding, and dynamic by introducing tiered variants of mobs with special abilities, enhanced stats, visual feedback, and improved loot.
This mod is highly configurable, designed for both casual servers and hardcore experiences, while remaining compatible with other mods.
Currently enhancing 162 NPC types (more to come)!

Mobs can gain special abilities such as leaps, resistances, and conditional effects
Mobs scale by tier, making higher-tier elites significantly more dangerous
Fully configurable behavior and scaling

Damage numbers appear red and slightly larger for better combat clarity

Mobs drop configured loot from config per tier
Mobs are equipped with armor and weapons depending on their tier

Almost everything is configurable! So don't be shy and check out all of the available configuration under:

("Server" folder is the Asset Pack that gets generated at runtime using values from the .yml files so no need to โ๏ธ it.)
๐ Runtime Configuration Reloading
EliteMobs supports runtime config reloading:
/elitemobs reload This reloads configuration files without restarting the server.
โ ๏ธ Some changes โ especially those affecting already-spawned mobs or generated assets โ may not immediately apply.
If anything feels off or unchanged, a server restart is always safe and recommended.

Download the correct EliteMobs .jar file
Place it into your server's mods folder
Start the server
Configuration files will be generated automatically
๐๏ธ Uninstalling
If you for some unknown reason decide to (sadly) remove this mod from your world, the leftover NPC's will still have changed stats, equipment and a nameplate left. That's just how currently the game works with its Entity Component System.
โ ๏ธ Do NOT try to kill them as the game will crash (since it can't find my code anymore to reference it).
Instead, use the following command to clean up NPC's around you:
/npc clean --confirm
Repeat until all my children have disappeared.

Allows the player to reload EliteMobs configuration at runtime
๐ค Compatibility
EliteMobs is designed to be compatible with any mod.
For mods that scale damage, there is an overview in the "For Developers" section to understand if you can/want to use it. Multipliers are compatible, but can break balance!

Someone left a comment if this mod supports other damage enhancing mods. Well yes, but actually yes. You're just going to have a harder time because multipliers add up. However, I've always been a fan of "configure everything" so as long as you know how to read and edit files, you're in the clear.
