Rhino Toad Nerf

Description

UPDATE: With Update 2, Magma Rhino Toads have been reworked to be significantly less annoying. I've updated the mod with these new behaviours, and even though I think their new state is much more balanced, I'll keep this mod updated with a few minor tweaks just for those who still struggle against them! This mod also fixes regular Rhino Toads that don't yet have this new behaviour.

This mod (Asset Pack) changes a few attributes of the Rhino Toad and Magma Rhino Toad to make fighting them less frustrating. Note that this mod isn't aimed at making them trivial, but rather making them more balanced.

Tongue attack range reduced from 10 to 8

Tongue attack pull force reduced by 25%

Tongue attack damage reduced from 18 to 15 (This makes a combo do 50 damage on average)

Tongue attack now requires line of sight again

Minimum attack delay after a headbutt attack increased from 0.417s to 0.53s

All Magma Rhino Toad behaviours have been ported to the regular Rhino Toad, with the Rhino Toad having 28 less health, 10 less damage on Headbutt attacks, and no fire immunity.

I expect the devs to address the Magma Rhino Toad at some point, but I made this to ease my personal frustrations in the meantime, so I'm sharing it here in the hopes that it's useful to you too!

Local World Installation

Add the downloaded RhinoToadNerf_vX.X.X.zip to <data-path>/Hytale/UserData/Mods/

On the world selection screen, right-click the world to edit the world settings

In the Mods list, enable the mod and then save world settings

Dedicated Server Installation

Add the downloaded RhinoToadNerf_vX.X.X.zip to <your-server>/mods/

Restart the server
