Runic Pets

These cute little Runic Pets just want to be your friend! Let them come along on your travels, and they'll light your way! These pets are mostly magically infused versions of regular creatures, but some special ones are also mythical beasts!

Features:

All pets will brighten up a small radius around them with colorful light, allowing you to keep your 2-Hand weapons, or Sword and Board equipped on those dangerous adventures!

Magical, hand recolored textures with hand painted rune designs that have emissive features!

All pets can be crafted on the Mods Pet Bench (crafted from the vanilla Workbench) & require slightly different materials for each, though all use a single egg as the basis for their magical infusion!

All pets can be interacted with after using their item to turn them back into their item form, allowing you to swap them out and try different, or new ones!

All pets will Teleport to you if they get too far out of range! They're cosmetic, non-combat pets, so they won't run off chasing enemies, they won't die, and if they get stuck they will boop back to you once you're out of a certain block range!

=NEW!= There are five Pet Lamps that are stationary versions of (some) of the pets that can be interacted with to turn on/off! When they're off they won't emite light, and will sleep! (More will be added if people like them!)

Future Plans:

Troubleshoot anything necessary, keep the mod updated, & add more pets!

Planned pets: Big Cats, More Dinosaurs, Forest Critters, and more!

Eventually Mounts (Once the games mount code is more fully implemented. Right now it's bare bones and the creatures just keep running away from me & I can't get them to stop lol)

Current Issues:

Some of the flying pets can get stuck coming down steps. Working on this.

There's no system to assign a pet to a player, so on multiplayer servers, pets may choose a player close to them at random to follow. I unfourtunetly can't do anything about this right now until a more robust pet ownership system is implemented, or I learn Java. Even then, it might be difficult or may take a while. I will try!
