Arcane Foundations

Arcane Foundations is an experimental content mod focused on exploring and understanding Hytale’s core systems, including items, weapons, crafting, resources, world generation and interactions. It serves as the technical and design foundation for a future story-driven server project.

The mod introduces a layered progression system, starting with Sylvarite, a new metallic resource found in the world, which can be processed and combined with Verdant, a nature-infused material derived from life-based energy.

Together, these materials form the foundation of early and mid-game crafting and refinement.

Through custom workbenches such as the Nature Bench and specialized crafting paths, players can refine Sylvarite, infuse it with Verdant energy, and craft new tools and weapons that blend metal and nature.

At the end of the current progression lies Arcanite, a rare and powerful magical crystal representing the mod’s endgame material. Arcanite is harder to obtain, more expensive to process, and used to craft the most advanced weapons and equipment currently available.

Arcane Foundations is intentionally lightweight and experimental, focusing on learning and iterating on Hytale’s systems rather than delivering a full progression overhaul. Balance, visuals and mechanics may change as development continues.

More resources, mechanics and interactions are planned as the project evolves.
