HyVoiceChat

HyVoiceChat is a proximity voice chat mod for Hytale servers. It allows players to communicate through voice based on their in game position and distance, creating a more immersive multiplayer experience until Hytale develops its own Voice Chat.

Works out of the box by using serveo tunnel, or can be self-hosted.

Players connect using a web browser hosted by the server, verify their connection with a command in game, and immediately join voice chat. Audio is spatialized so voices come from the correct direction and fade naturally as players move farther away. The mod runs entirely on the server, players don't need to download anything.

You can restrict access to voicechat by enabling requirePermissionToConnect in config and giving players permission to use /voicechat by using /perm group add Adventure pl.msmaciek.hyvoicechat.command.voicechat (built-in in Hytale)

How it works

1. Players open the voice chat website (hosted by the mod) 2. They get a verification code to type in-game (/voicechat CODE) 3. After verification, they can join voice chat 4. Audio is spatialized - players hear others from the direction they're standing, with volume based on distance
