Project: War Dance

Project: War Dance is a rather obscure mod for Minecraft, written by me, for the purpose of making Minecraft combat more interesting. It features posture, parrying, internal damage, skills, grappling hooks, throwing your sword out to stun enemies, and the like. The goal is to create a fluid combat flow where you're constantly transitioning between weapons while moving around constantly in all three dimensions, kind of like a wuxia film.

This mod shares the name and vision, but is different in implementation because Hytale combat is different and the code is harder for me to understand. Right now the only feature in this mod is that swapping weapons will preserve your signature charge.

Other features I hope to add in the future:

- skipping combo chains by sprinting or dodging

- mob stamina and player dodging

- parrying as an omnidirectional option to deal large amounts of stamina damage

- grappling hook item or feature?

- revamped unarmed combat, including kicks and grapples

- throwing your weapon to deal ranged damage (like spear, but for everyone)
