Rust Boots

RustBoots is an early-game utility mod focused on fast, disposable movement.

It introduces Rust Boots, a lightweight pair of scrap-made boots designed for aggressive early gameplay: quick exploration, risky jumps, and constant replacement rather than long-term progression.

The boots provide:

- A movement speed bonus while equipped

- Stamina regeneration to sustain continuous movement

- Reduced fall damage to support reckless traversal

Rust Boots are intentionally fragile and common. They are meant to be looted, crafted quickly, used aggressively, and replaced often.

The mod is split into:

- a server-side plugin (logic and movement modifiers)

- an asset mod pack (item definition, loot, crafting, localization)

Both components are required for the mod to function correctly.

## INSTALATION ##

This project consists of two files:

1. **RustBootsPlugin** – required 2. **RustBootsMod** – required

Both files must be installed for the mod to work correctly.

### Client / Singleplayer - Place the asset pack in your Hytale Mods folder - Place the plugin jar in the same Mods folder

AppData\Roaming\Hytale\UserData\Mods

### Server - Install the asset pack on the server - Install the plugin jar on the server
