Spell System

8 Unique Spells - Fireball, Frost Bolt, Arcane Bolt, Lightning Strike, Healing Light, Force Push, Mana Shield, Blink

Spell Categories - Projectile, Damage, Heal, Defense and Utility spells

Mana System - Spells consume mana with automatic regeneration

Cooldown Management - Per-spell cooldowns prevent spam casting

Spell Wheel UI - Visual spell selection interface (Right-click with staff)

Equipment

5 Staff Tiers with unique bonuses:

Common - Base stats

Uncommon - +10% Damage, -5% Mana Cost

Rare - +20% Damage, -10% Mana Cost, -10% Cooldown

Epic - +35% Damage, -15% Mana Cost, -20% Cooldown

Legendary - +50% Damage, -25% Mana Cost, -30% Cooldown

Spell Scrolls

Learn new spells by using scroll items. Craft blank scrolls and enchant them to create spell scrolls.

Magical Materials

Obtained from mob drops and exploration:

Crystal Minor, Crystal Lesser, Crystal Greater

Arcane Essence

Phoenix Feather

Dragon Scale

Installation

Download the latest release

Place the .jar file in your server's mods folder

Restart your server

Configure settings in the generated config file (optional)

Spell Scrolls

All spell scrolls require a Blank Scroll plus additional materials:

Force Push - Crystal Minor

Arcane Bolt - Crystal Minor x2

Frost Bolt - Crystal Minor x2, Arcane Essence

Blink - Crystal Lesser, Arcane Essence

Healing Light - Crystal Lesser, Arcane Essence x2

Fireball - Crystal Lesser x2, Phoenix Feather

Mana Shield - Crystal Greater, Arcane Essence x2

Lightning Strike - Crystal Greater x2, Dragon Scale

Higher tier staves require rarer materials obtained from mob drops and exploration.

Spells Reference

Projectile Spells

Fireball - 18 Mana - 30 damage + AoE

Frost Bolt - 14 Mana - 20 damage

Arcane Bolt - 10 Mana - 15 damage

Damage Spells

Lightning Strike - 25 Mana - 50 damage

Healing Spells

Healing Light - 15 Mana - Restore 20 HP

Utility Spells

Force Push - 8 Mana - Knockback nearby enemies

Blink - 12 Mana - Teleport forward

Defense Spells

Mana Shield - 20 Mana - Absorb damage

Commands

All commands use /spellbook (alias: /sb). Requires spellbook.admin permission.

/sb - Show help menu

/sb staff [--spell type] [--quality tier] - Give spell staff

/sb scroll --spell type - Give a spell scroll

/sb material --material name - Give crafting materials

How to Use

Get a Staff - Craft at Arcane Workbench or use /sb staff

Learn Spells - Use spell scrolls to learn new spells

Open Spell Wheel - Right-click with staff equipped

Select Spell - Choose from your learned spells

Cast - Left-click to cast the selected spell

Manage Mana - Wait for regeneration between casts

Permissions

spellbook.admin - Access to all admin commands

Configuration

The mod generates a config.json file in the mod data directory. Key options:

Mana System

useNativeMana: false (default) - Uses the custom SpellMana stat

useNativeMana: true - Uses Hytale's native Mana stat (requires Hytalor)

Native Mana with Hytalor

For compatibility with other magic mods, you can use Hytale's native Mana system:

Install Hytalor mod

Set "useNativeMana": true in config

Restart the server

The mod includes a patch file that sets native Mana to Max=100 with 5/sec regeneration.

HUD Options

manaBarEnabled - Show/hide the mana bar HUD

showOnlyWithStaff - Only show mana bar when holding a staff

Requirements

Hytale Server (Latest version)

Hytalor - For native mana system support

MultipleHUD - For HUD compatibility with other mods
